Unauthorised Access- Children Playing on Practice Grounds
Keeping Our GP Practice Safe for Everyone
We are fortunate to be a GP practice located at the heart of and to support our community and appreciate the support of local families.
Recently, we have noticed children and young people gathering and playing on the practice grounds, both within and outside of opening hours. Whilst we completely understand the importance of outdoor play and socialising, the practice premises are not designed as a recreational area and can present a number of safety risks.
These include:
- Moving vehicles within the car park.
- Deliveries and service vehicles.
- Slips, trips and falls.
- Potential damage to property and equipment.
Disturbance to patients, including those who may be elderly, vulnerable, or unwell.
We would be very grateful if parents and carers could remind their children that the grounds and car park of the GP practice are private property and should not be used for games, cycling, ball sports or social gatherings.
Our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, patients, visitors, and staff whilst maintaining access to healthcare services for everyone in the community.
